8. Erin Andrews
It’s hard to imagine that America’s most beloved, Erin Andrews, has been in the business for nearly 15 years. He started in 2000 as a freelance reporter for Fox Sports. Four years later, she moved to ESPN, where she remained with the World Wide Leader until 2012 when she moved to Fox Sports.
A sculpted blonde megawatt smile, it would be dishonest to say that Andrews’ surprisingly good form did not contribute to his success. That being said, sometimes they had to fight against them. Andrews is, without question, a capable reporter who has more good moments than bad, but perhaps she can never shake the critics who long ago described her as nothing more than a beautiful face.
Andrews’s influence in the world of sports is such that he is not just an individual, he is a profession that has helped him to define. The whole internet search is on for the “next Erin Andrews”, a never-ending search that is almost a decade old.
Its reach is now growing beyond sports. Andrews was recently named co-founder of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, which it competed against in 2010.
